Hives & honey
Plant clover, lavender, sunflowers and heather, then grow rare honey trees like Acacia, Manuka, Tupelo and Sidr. Each flower makes its own honey.
An MHSystems game
A cozy hex-tile beekeeping idle game. Grow your floating island one tile at a time, keep your bees happy through the seasons, and turn honey into a thriving farm.
Features
Start with a single hive and a patch of clover. Where it goes from there is up to you.
Plant clover, lavender, sunflowers and heather, then grow rare honey trees like Acacia, Manuka, Tupelo and Sidr. Each flower makes its own honey.
Every plant blooms on its own schedule. Plan a garden that keeps your bees busy from spring right through to a quiet winter.
Grow strawberries, pumpkins and apple trees that your bees pollinate. Raise chickens, pigs and cows, and keep their troughs full. Just don't let them get too sleepy.
Prices move with supply and demand. Sell at the market, run a Farmers Market stall, fill villager orders delivered by truck, and stock a giant honey warehouse in town.
Hire beekeepers to harvest, farmhands to tend the animals, a Market Seller who sells at your prices, and an Order Runner who delivers to villagers.
Calm an angry hive with the smoker before it swarms, take sick animals to the vet, and enjoy the lucky days: wild swarms and sudden honey flows.
Swarm to start fresh with Royal Jelly for the Queen's upgrades, then Migrate the whole dynasty for Crowns that boost honey forever and unlock automation.
From your first drop of honey to running a wholesale empire, every achievement gives your honey a small permanent boost.
Expand tile by tile up to 12 rings out. Dig ponds, plow fields, and move any building whenever your layout needs a rethink.
Download
Meadowdrift is available on itch.io and comes with a launcher that installs the game and keeps it up to date for you.
Get Meadowdrift from the MHSystems itch.io page, then download and run the launcher setup.
Enter your beekeeper name and choose where to install. The launcher downloads the game.
New players get a short interactive tutorial, from your first harvest to your first planting.
The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Patch notes
Updates install automatically through the launcher. Here's everything that's changed.
FAQ
Meadowdrift is sold on itch.io. Buy it there and you can download the launcher any time from your itch.io library. After that, updates come through the launcher for free.
The launcher checks for updates when it opens and every 30 minutes. Game updates install by themselves. You can also press Check for updates in the launcher at any time.
No. Saves are stored separately from the game, at %APPDATA%\Meadowdrift\saves\save.json on Windows, so updating or even reinstalling keeps your progress.
It was. Keep the Bees became Meadowdrift in update 1.14.0. Same island, same bees, same save. Players coming from the old launcher have their settings and saves copied over automatically.
A little. Your island catches up on up to an hour of time you were away, and you'll get a summary of what your hives made when you come back.
